    About Us


    For over 50 years we have been selling boots, shoes, clothing and work wear in the traditional way, from our family shop in Bathurst, Frank Smith's work clothing and shoe repairs.

    In that time three generations of us have worked in our family business and our customer base has also grown enormously.

    Bathurst is located 3 hours drive west from Sydney and over 50 years many of our clients have moved away from Bathurst.

    Likewise many visitors from Australia and overseas have found what they liked at our family store and continue to purchase years later.

    After 50 years of retailing we are slowly trying to expand. We appreciate customer service and selling quality products have enabled us to still be here today.

    Return Policy

    Got the Boot has the following return policy.

    In accordance with Australian Consumer law we are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind.

    But you can choose a refund or exchange if an item has a major problem. This is when the item:

    • has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying the item if they had known about it
    • is unsafe
    • is significantly different from the sample or description
    • doesn't do what we said it would, or what you asked for and can't be easily fixed.

    If you are not satisfied with your purchase from Got the Boot, you can simply return it and we will provide you with an exchange, credit or refund within the guidelines outlined below.

    This return policy applies to all purchases made from Got the Boot.

    Goods must be returned within 30 days of purchase. We will repair the item within a reasonable time. If it is not repaired in a reasonable time you can choose a refund or replacement.

    Proof of Purchase

    Please note that all returns, refunds, or exchanges must be accompanied by any of the following Proof of Purchase documents:

    Original register receipt (no photocopies accepted)
    Proof of Purchase (included with your delivery for items purchased)
    Original return/exchange receipt

    Consumer Guarantee

    All items purchased are quality control checked by Got the Boot personnel prior to shipping. As a consumer, you are entitled to the benefit of statutory consumer guarantees in respect of items purchased from Got the Boot. In accordance with Australian Consumer Law, if the item has a major failure, you may reject the item and seek a refund or exchange.

    Special Exceptions

    Please choose carefully as we do not offer exchange or refund on items specified 'not for return'.

    The quickest and easiest way to return products purchased online from Got the Boot is by returning the item to:

    Please include your completed Return Slip.

    A Customer Relations person will email you to process your return once the goods have been received. Got the Boot will not reimburse postage costs for returned items unless the item is faulty.
